I KNOW RAP MY MAN I MEAN HIP HOP

this is an interactive kiosk thing i made last year. basically for the brief we had to make something educational for an audience that was also a flash game. so i made this, its got a brief history of hiop hop and a dj sampler. i cut up a bunch of music and made some loops and basically you lay down the bass line and then build over the top of that with the cut up samples. the dj sampler also has like hidden animations. oh and when you turn from page to page in the book the hand comes on and turns the page and then the new page animates. this was pretty intense and i ran out of time to focus on the typography and stuff on the pages next to the actual animating stuff.

ok so this week has been crazy. i broke my record of amount of time spent working straight. i went 3 days without sleep + ate 1 cro-saunt (sic) + 4 fish fingers. its friday night, im waiting for the final movie to export so i can burn this presentation dvd + get it out of my life/face. i think i counted the total amount of sleep from monday til now to be around 6 hours??? BUT the main point of this is this.

i made this in 2 intense days last week. basically the images in the gallery section are just linked to open in new windows, when i get home im gonna use lightbox. also the multimedia stuff is just screenshots, im gonna put up the proper stuff later.

today our new lecturer (she started this semester) from germany asked for my autograph HAHA! i was like why? she said well yr gonna be famous right??? in yr band and as a designer??? townsville is hilarious. for the record i didnt sign anything.

oh yeah im officially a graduate. WEIRD.

dude how long has it been since i have updated this blog/even done anything graphic design-y??? too long i guess. these last few months have been a total whirlwind + i dont wanna get cosmic BUT this period feels like its the start of a rebirth after my untimely DEATH!!! the holidays were so chaotic but SO good. nic + me made up 50 cdrs + packaging from scratch for axel rosie o'donnells next release which is a split with nics brother bens band red red krovvy who slay!!!!! i will post some photos of them when i get my hands on a few copies. ANYWAY so this is the beginning of 2007 part 2!!! i drew this yesterday + coloured it today. its for a band that i made up axe wounds to give me someone/a purpose to make stuff for.
